| Transportation Economics : Human beings try to make their lives richer by making use of abunse of natural resources. The purpose of transportation economics is to find how efficiently we are able to transport these resources of nature as well as of information. Natural resources are limited and the important thing we have to remember is how to keep these resources supplied forever. Surprisingly we have lots to learn for it even in the feudalistic age of Japan and some information worth learning from even our ancestors. This course starts, therefore, with the age before Meiji period focusing on "transportation for living" and "the use of space for our daily life." | |||
| How to teach | |||
| Social science is not so difficult as is thought of. Economics hos something to do with our daily life and everybody experiences it in some ways, even unconsciously. What is important is to develope our common sense. | |||
| Hobby & principle | |||
| I am very curious about anything but I am not eager to move about. My favorite person is the old person who is innocent and nice in a folktale in Japan. I have been trying to be sucha person but so far in vain. | |||

| (1) To have a definite aim in your study and be considerate of others. Your department is best from these points of view. | |||
